    What should be fun?

    • Yachtsman

To see who would be first to ask that question.

      • Joe Banks

You’re right! – it is fun!

To see what the Hawks do on draft day. Do they go need based or best player available? What additional picks will they get if they trade Oduya?

  • pepe_silvia

Umberger and a 4th for Hartnell. Hmmm. Initial reaction is it seems like a good deal for the Jackets.

  • Andrew Heitman

Chances Kesler to the Hawks happens? Id say between 0.0 and 0.1% chance. Anaheim seems the more likely destination.

    • HawkIPA

From what I hear, Anaheim is not on “the list.” I don’t think Hawks are a likely destination, but I think the possibility is greater than 0.1%. I’d give it a 5% chance. It’d likely depend on there being a 3 way deal.

  • Brain Sprain

Hockey buzz is relentless with the Kesler talk. I just don’t see it happening.

    • YoAdrienne

I don’t, either. The Hawks would have to give up too much. I can’t imagine Bowman giving up Saad or TT for an aging, injury-prone player, I don’t care how good he is. And, that’s what they’d have to give up.to get Kessler. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon, so that Hockeybuzz can get onto its next B.S. Can’t wait to see what that is.

Unless Vancouver wants Oduya and a couple of late round picks….not happening.

      • jordyhawk

Kesler not the same player as 2011, and, as you say, now seems to be injury-prone. He would be a good addition for a couple of years though. I’m not sold on Leddy as top 4 guy, so I would be willing to part with him along with a prospect (say Danault) and a third. I strongly doubt they would go for that.

    • HawkIPA

I think it’s possible in a 3 way deal. Maybe Oduya or Seabrook and a pick to FL; FL trades high pick to VAN; VAN sends Kesler to CHI. Highly, highly unlikely, but this sort of trade gets VAN the youth they’re looking for, Dale seems to like dealing with Stan, and it gets Kesler as 2C.

    • HawkIPA

I also don’t understand Hockeybuzz’s hyping of Sharp as trade bait. What leadership is Sharp going to provide that Kesler can’t? I understand that Sharp has 2 Cups, but having the Hawks talent and depth vs. the usual suspects in VAN has a lot to do with that. If you’re going rebuild/re-tool, you’d want to go young, right?

Canucks just hired a 58 year old rookie head coach. Name is Hobbs or something…
