I see we are back to normal, losing the first game on the road, no matter how well we play. Couldn’t read the Suntimes article, but saw the headline. Yeah, Runs could have done more on that first goal against, but he also saved a goal with his stick. The trib may have the best headline: Missed Opportunity.

This was far from a disaster, especially after a nine day layoff. Play a little better in your own end, get to the net, and stay there. Win on Tuesday and we’re golden. Lose in Tuesday, and it’s still not ledge crowding time.

    • Exactly. No team is in danger in a series until they lose at home, so the boys have a great chance to put the Ducks in danger Tuesday. I still feel like if the Hawks play like they did yesterday for the rest of the season, they’ll get four wins before the Ducks do.

Tracey Myers implying on Twitter that Cumiskey will start in place of Rundblad in game 2.

Hell of a time to experiment to see who’s ready.

I should say, she’s basing that on watching practice and comments from Q.

Which is exactly why we all complained the entire season about not giving our defensive prospects more looks. This is EXACTLY the type of situation that can be avoided with spotting rookies a few games here and there.

Cooper dressed 7 d-men for the Bolts tonight. Hopefully Q wasn’t watching.

I do not get what he brings to the team. He played 7 games and we are just throwing him out there in game 2. I am assuming, based on the fact he is a bit smaller than DR, that he gives more speed.

More confident with the puck in his own end, regardless of experience

I thought Cumiskey was fine in the games he played. Didn’t he score in his first shift? I think he will be steady and we will win the series.

It beats me why Q didn’t play him all year. This just proves that most of the readers here are smarter than he is. If one of the top 4 go down Q looks like a real goat.

More decisive with the puck is a big thing regardless of experience
