    Doing Line stunts in Heaven.

  • rhodes

Yeah, not a smart move by Byfuglien, but Corry Perry did collapse to the ice awfully easily, bag of dicks that he is.

If Byfuglien gets a suspension out of that then the NHL has not been watching the Vancouver-Calgary series.

  • Sopel the catfish

    Really?

    http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=764308&navid=nhl:topheads

How could anyone think that it wasn’t

The suspension can be lifted if the incident is deemed not related to the score, previous incidents in the game or prior games, retaliatory in nature, or “message sending.”

    • rhodes

It seems the NHL is bending over backward to not issue playoff suspensions. I thought the Hamhuis hit on Bennett earlier in that same game was a clear head shot. No suspension there, either. Probably because no injury, which is a stupid thing to consider, IMO. This is why I stated earlier that I’ll be surprised if Byfuglien gets anything for pushing Perry to the ice after the whistle.

In any case, I’m kind of glad Burrows will be playing. The Nucks are coming unglued in that series, and Burrows is at the head of the line of mental midgets.

      • Sopel the catfish

I’d like to see Buff get suspended and then the Jets rally to come back and take out the Ducks. In the meantime burrows and bieksa crosscheck each other in the head in some kind of cosmic karmic explosion

.The NHL continues to embarrass themselves and have zero credibility.

  • Brandon Murray

I hate to say this but that Big Buff play was super douchey, but absolutely awesome because Corey Perry is the original Dick Farmer and deserves it ever time. He crumpled like a sack of shit and I laughed out loud.
Also, in watching the MIN-STL game it was absolutely brutal to hear anyone in a network position say anything positive about Ott. He is on a very short list of fucking idiots who could easily be banned from the NHL because they suck at everything. LaPierre, Cook, Jackman, Ott, are just a few and oh look 2 play for STL and one used to.
The guy is a complete ass hat with no purpose and I really hope MIN can go up 3-1 and have 3 cracks at closing these fucking morons out. No one, absolutely no one irritates me like the St. Louis Meatballs. Here’s to hoping the Wild don’t choke it away.

    • ZigZags82

Well I would like to see that series to go 7 if only to see whoever advances exhausted. I won’t root for a specific opponent, just have them go 7.

    • Aaeismacgychel

I think you also forgot St. Louis has Ryan Reaves on their roster. Stop selling their meatball level short!

Star Tribune in MIN totally gets “Ott the Penalty Bot” Well written and well said…

    • Sopel the catfish

Awesome opening and it applies to many blues and Canucks

Wild fans will want to treat Steve Ott as a villain. He’s not. Villains are frightening. Ott is more like junk mail — annoying but meaningless, and soon to be stuffed in the proper recycling bin.

    • Aaeismacgychel

Forget junk mail. Ott is like that idiot you see swerving between lanes during rush hour to move slightly faster than the speed of traffic only to see his car totaled on the side of the road a half mile later. Or that guy who blazes past you on the highway a good 30 or 40 mph ove the limit only to see him pulled over on the side of the road by a state trooper a couple miles later. His sole pupose is to do stupid things, then be laughed at as he fraks his own team over.

Too harsh on rodeo clowns though.

good read about the hawks vs james neal this series:

  • ZigZags82

Another cool calm and collected game coming from the Hawks. A complete 60 minutes, and a 3-1 lead. Looking forward to it!

    • rhodes

^This. No line changes tonight. Here’s to hoping the 2nd line gets it in gear.

      • Aaeismacgychel

I think they will. Getting two guys back from injury both of whom were amongst the possession leaders all season for the Hawks, it’ll just take time. Richards showed some positive signs in Game 3. Hopefully he’s back to 100% here in Game 4.

      • T.M.

shouldn’t have said that a line Kane’s on should get it in gear. Now he’ll have to prove you wrong.

  • T.M.

It was fun watching Doug Buffone play with Butkus. He was a steady, reliable player
