    I was at a level 4 coaching clinic about 7 years ago, and they bring in some middling NHL execs to get all of the hockey Dads fired up and want not. One of them was a member of the rules committee at the time, and the discussion wasn’t about increasing the footprint of the net, but making it bigger by shaving a quarter inch or so off the diameter of the pipes. I thought that was especially interesting since it wouldn’t change the angles much…but not sure if it would increase the scoring.

    I actually agree with Edzo on only sending off the embellisher if you want to get it out of the game. I think that would be more effective than just fining guys a few days later and going to 4 on 4.
