• KoalaKowalski

I fucking love Faith No More. Lets Go Hawks! That is all for now…

  • TitanTransistor

    *shrugs*

Impossible to set expectations when the senile moustache goes into a drug-fueled-nonsense mode with this line combinations.

  • To Saad be the glory

Versteeg and Carcillo with Richards, are you fucking kidding me?! wtf?!

    • To Saad be the glory

This is a fucking McDavid sweepstakes lineup, wtf.

  • Peanut Butter

Carcillo and Rozi playing…lines all shot to hell. I find myself wondering how many Cups we could have won by now if we only had a coach who had a clue. Yeah yeah he’s won 750 games…honestly he should have probably won at least 800 by now if it wasn’t for his own foolishness.

  • Icdws

Nice play Rozival love the soft cross ice pass.

  • Aaeismacgychel

Yeah, not a big fan of the lines, but I will give some credit as well- This team looks to have a lot more energy tonight than they have had in their past 2 games. Stringing some good shifts together. I have a feeling this is a one time look, but if it was to send a message, it seems to be working thus far tonight.

  • dbt

I mean, I know that TT needs to play, but it seems like Q is worried about fuckwittery tonight.

  • Aaeismacgychel

Oh good lord Desjardins. Holy frak. You owe Corey a steak dinner on that one.

  • Aaeismacgychel

    That. Was. A. Mess. Frak.

  • dbt

    Hot garbage.

  • Peanut Butter

Hey maybe Q should send Hossa to the press box next…makes about as much sense as any of his other moves.

  • dbt

WTF Shaw, that was wide open.

    • Peanut Butter

      I mean you expect that from a 4th liner…not as much a 1st liner.

      • dbt
        • Peanut Butter

Well if we think like Q then no we shouldn’t expect that from Shaw. But since we all have eyes and can see that Shaw isn’t a 1st line forward, we probably shouldn’t be surprised.

  • To Saad be the glory

I’m gonna be a glass half-full guy tonight. Maybe Carcillo will do something dumb enough to get suspended again…

    • Peanut Butter

      Thanks for the laugh…needed it.

    • TitanTransistor

Quenneville would just have him replaced with Mashinter, most likely.

  • TitanTransistor

Huh. Andrew Shaw on the 1st line performing exactly as anybody with sense expected.

But please, let’s fix this team’s issues by not moving Rozsival.

    #2Cups #Genius #PeanutButter

    • To Saad be the glory

‘Cause we know TT is gonna learn more from the box then playing what amounts to playoff hockey the last few games of the season.

  • Icdws

This is a joke. If u want to screw with line up play TVR and johns in place Rozival and odduya. Send those turds a message. Carcillo is a joke out there. Wtf does shaw do? I am so confused.

  • TitanTransistor

The Rozsival and Quenneville defenders look dumber with every passing shift. Pathetic.

    • Hockey Newbie

There are Rozi and Q defenders? For real? I thought that was just a legend .. a myth, kind of like Big Foot or Loch ness or something or rather.

  • Peanut Butter

    Anyone else’s picture freeze?

    • Aaeismacgychel

      yup

      • Peanut Butter

Well looks like now we don’t have to watch Q make a joke of our team.

        • TitanTransistor

That will just give the Q defendes plausible deniability?

“What do you mean that imbecile kneecapped our team with idiotic roster moves? I didn’t see anything!”

Such are the maneuvers of the blinded fanboys.

    • Peanut Butter

I’ve got sound but no picture except of the Wells Fargo Center…

    • To Saad be the glory

Doc switched to radio mode,no Edzo and Pierre while the play is going on,leave the picture broken!!

  • Icdws

I thought the camera could not pick up such slow mess.

  • Peanut Butter

The camera has even given up now.

  • To Saad be the glory

Might as well goof off in here while no picture. So how ’bout them Cubs this year?

    • Aaeismacgychel

It makes me nervous and thinking I need my head checked out saying this, but I am actually optimistic about our chances this year. No, not to win obviously, but to compete for a playoff spot.

  • Aaeismacgychel

perfect, video back for intermission, lol

    • Icdws

Make sure we are bombarded with ads.

  • TitanTransistor

I’m pretty sure the Hawks play warranted a picture freeze anyway. Try as they might, they cannot over come the roster management of the senile moustache behind the bench.

@-45$ in one hour… I started working from home, doing various simple jobs which only required desktop or laptop computer and internet access and I couldn’t be happier… It’s been six months since i started this and i made so far total of 36,000 dollars… Basicly i profit about 80 dollars every hour and work for 3 to 4 hours a day.And the best part about this job is that you can decide when to work yourself and for how long and you get a paycheck weekly.—>

  • Icdws

Is this Q showing what genius he is? To hell with pushing all out for the final 10 games. Isn’t that what Hitchcock dos and then bows out of playoffs early? I no I’m reaching but this is essentially giving this game away.

    • TitanTransistor

Joel Quenneville is an imbecile when it comes to roster management.

      • Icdws

You’ve known it all the time I’m learning it these days.

        • TitanTransistor

Yeah, it’s just a matter of being exposed to his nonsense for long enough.

The Blackhawks will win the cup the next time a GM Q-proofs a roster. Till then, not a chance.

  • Bob Lanz

Quinvill’d proves it tonight beyond a doubt that he does not have a clue how to bring along a talented prospect. Sure he trusts the gritty young guys like Shaw but not TT. Fuck it I’m done with his bullshit scratches and playing old fucking fossils oh and let’s not forget the old 7 d-man at forward instead of letting some youth get some quality minutes. The future man is next year!

    • To Saad be the glory

Yeah,Pirri has 15 goals in 21 games since coming back from injury. Sure as shit wouldn’t want that on our team.

      • Icdws

Gonna lose another college kid apparently ready too. Hayes Dahlbeck pirri Leddy they would all look better than 32 42 65.

        • TitanTransistor

          Absolutely.

Sadly, they were a little too young when they broke in. If they put up the same numbers at age 40, they’d be a lock for the lineup.

      • TitanTransistor

Q’s talent appraisal is almost as good as his roster management, lol

      • Bob Lanz

I saw that not to mention what Hayes is doing. Think he would of signed if we had a more progressive coach? Then there’s the fact we dumped four defensemen cause Q had to play fucking Rozy

  • Peanut Butter

In non-related Q news, I thought Emery was suppose to be in goal for Philly tonight?

  • Icdws

Y is everybody falling down ? What is that?

  • wreckinball

Hawks have a force field against certain goalies Mason is one of them

    • Icdws

They have trouble with big goalies. Ie smith buship

  • Peanut Butter

Shaw takes the faceoff instead of Kruger and of course loses it….2 seconds later it’s in the back of the net.

    • Hockey Newbie

I was thinking the same thing. Who makes the call on the face-offs? I just assumed the C took the draw unless they get tossed out, but Shaw stepped in even tho Kruger is very good at the dot. How did that one work out for us??

  • wreckinball

    Ugh

  • TitanTransistor

Welp. When you have an obstinate coach making insane roster decisions, your team will likely lose.

I’m glad we all got to confirm what everybody with a working brain already knew: Shaw on the 1st line is dumb, Rozsival in the nHL is dumb.

I wonder what other bouts of brilliance the Q-stache will bring us next. LOL

    • Icdws

I don’t know he had a great view of keith getting double teamed in the corner and getting tossed like a rag doll. That takes skill to not even react when your partner is getting killed.

  • Peanut Butter

I didn’t know you could do what Carcillo just did. Guess I learned something new and Carcillo isn’t as much of an idiot as I thought.

  • Aaeismacgychel

Can we sit effing Rozsival. That was a Seabrook loaf there. Great redirect by Giroux, but seriously. Just let him go right by, completely unmarked.

    • Peanut Butter

He’s a -2 just like he was on Saturday against the Stars…so definitely we’ll be starting him again on Friday. Wouldn’t want to give Rundblad any playing time before playoffs.

  • TitanTransistor

Joel Quenneville is a genius. Never question.

  • Aaeismacgychel

Well, long story short, F’s for pretty much everyone this game. Good news is that this lineup will now not become “a thing” and you can be assured it’s going in the freakin’ woodchipper after this.

  • TitanTransistor

Joel Quenneville’s roster management is a disaster, and Bowman’s cowardice and unwillingness to call him on his BS will lead this team out of the playoffs in the 1st round… with one less 1st round, 2nd round and 4th round pick to show for it.

  • Aaeismacgychel

Nice loaf there by Seabrook also.

  • Peanut Butter

TVR with a broken patella would be better than Rozsival.

  • Icdws

This better be the last time we see this configuration of players and lines for the hawks. This is no playoff team.

    • Aaeismacgychel

It will be. No way this lineup goes out on the ice again.

      • Icdws

Begs the question why it ever did? Let’s give away 2 points with 10 games to play? No one will ask him that tho. He’s a genius!

        • Aaeismacgychel

I don’t know. My only guess is to try and send a message. No idea what that message exactly is. But it’s been a sh*tshow tonight. That said, I want to say that we have shown more effort tonight than in the past two games, so that’s something that counts for 0 pts.

          • Icdws

Great answer. It all makes no sense to me.
Get rid of Rozival and everybody plays better.

  • Aaeismacgychel

I’m going to go optimist for a post. I think Versteeg has looked a lot better tonight. I think Richards once again has been solid. And I think Timonen has been getting better and better, this night included. So yeah. That’s my positives.

  • Aaeismacgychel

By the way, unfortunately I’m about ready to throw in the towel on the Vermette trade. I know it’s early, but sadly I really can’t say I’ve seen all that much out of him eye test or otherwise that makes me think he’s going to improve by the playoffs. Afraid this is a gamble that isn’t going to work out.

    • TitanTransistor

Thus far his greatest contribution has been slotting Richards to 3rd C and Shaw to the wing.

But expecting him to put up the numbers we need just speaks to how poorly the likes of Hossa, Sharp, Versteeg, Bickell, TT and the rest have done.

When so many players underperform in the same season… can it really be anything but coaching?

      • Aaeismacgychel

Coaching might be part of it, but motivation seems to be of bigger concern. As well, our defense has fallen off significantly from last year, and we have been hit by the injury bug this year, whereas in the past two seasons we have been fairly lucky. I think there’s a lot more that’s going into our issues than just coaching. And truth be told, even if you did get what you wanted and a replacement coach, there is no way of knowing what will enfold. There are far more stories of unmitigated disasters following a coaching change on an annual contender that there are success stories. In fact success is so rare in those scenarios, that I think people might want to be a lot more careful what they wish for.

  • Peter Turner

It almost feels like losing to Philly was part of the trade clause for Kimmo.

    • Aaeismacgychel

That actually might be the best explanation for this that I’ve seen yet. Kimmo’s having a decent game in my opinion.

  • Aaeismacgychel

Solid net pressure by Shaw on that PP. Maybe that gives us a little spark.

  • Peanut Butter

Shaw making up for the goal he cost us earlier.

  • Peanut Butter

Glad Carcillo could join us tonight. Can totally see why it was necessary that he play tonight.

    • To Saad be the glory

Yeah, but he did the princess wave, that was cool lol.

      • Peanut Butter

That’s the Queen’s wave cause CarBomb ain’t no princess.

    • Aaeismacgychel

      No clue what that was.

  • Aaeismacgychel

Something is so wrong with this game. I’m actually looking forward to the PP chance. This is like bizarro day or something.

    • Peanut Butter

I mean we scored on the last one.

    • Aaeismacgychel

      And that was that…

  • TitanTransistor

On ice product is an accurate reflection of coaching quality.

    All well, maybe next year.

  • hockeu

For a team with so much talent the Blackhawks sure look lost.

    • Q = bonehead

And who’s job is it to right the ship????

  • TitanTransistor

That penalty should do it. The result of this game wasn’t in doubt. It was certain from the moment Q handed in the lineup sheet.

This team has a lot of talent. But enough to outplay Q’s decisions? I’m not sure…

  • Icdws

    Adios friends. C u friday

  • seabsrat

I can barely even skate, but put me on the ice and I’ll do everything Carcillo does and the only payment I request is that Roszival never play for the Chicago Blackhawks again.

  • Aaeismacgychel

At this point, I’m hoping we end this game without a serious injury. This is a good time to throw out the Desjardins-Carcillo-Nordstrom line.

  • Peanut Butter

Didn’t even bother to pull the goalie…that’s how pathetic this coaching job was.

  • HossasPierogi

Beware the ides of March, Q

  • Colbeagle

I’m having trouble achieving the level of emotional disengagement I’m going to need to get through whatever remains of the season. I’m trying for ‘bemused’, but still landing somewhere between ‘dismayed’ and ‘angry’. Any advice for getting over the hump?

  • Hockey

@MarkLazerus: Joel Quenneville: “I’m not happy with Dallas or today’s game, but for the most part, there’s some good things going on.”

Does anybody know which game Q was watching??? Lost by 3 goals, but there were good things??? Can somebody enlighten me?

    • HossasPierogi

      He’s in heavy denial.

    • TitanTransistor

I would personally buy a Ferrari for the first beat reporter with the balls to ask Q what the fuck he is doing playing Rozsival game after game.

      • TitanTransistor

With they caveat that they get a real answer, and deliver follow-up questions until they get one.

      • Icdws

No shit? Everybody is wondering what wrong with the hawks? Like it’s a mystery. Fucking Rozival is on the ice 20 minutes a game that’s what’s wrong!

    • tom woj

I would like to know why he benched Toews the last 4 minutes, after he came back on the ice after being upset by phantom hooking call. I would also like to know why trailing 3-0 at beginning of 3rd perid, Toews did not appear on ice for 1st 2 1/2 minutes, until the Hawks went on the power play.
If Q wants to teach some kind of lesson, he should examine his own coaching first, especially on the offensive approach.
“Puck on net, traffic in front of net, greasy goals” is all he says as remedies. Just because he had no offensive skill as a player, does not justify his misuse of an offensive talented team, with many skilled players who could do more than just “put pucks on net”.

  • tom woj

I expect quite a confrontation Between Toews and Quenville after the game. For the good of the Blackhawks, I hope Toews prevails and management supports him. Q’s deficient knowledge of offensive hockey has cost the Hawks more than usual this year.

  • Hockey Newbie

I am normally of the opinion that constantly complaining about former players Q ran out of here is pointless. Not because they are not valid, but because nothing can be done about them at this point. That being said, Q’s decisions as to not only who plays, but what lines they play on are maddening, because those are still controllable. Who thought 65 should be on the top line, or that benching Bickel and Teuvo so we could get Desjardins and Carcillo the ice was a good move. What a complete waste of 20+ minutes that was. I finally turned off the game, but the 1st 3 goals by Crow did not appear to be soft, Could easily have given up 2 more to my recollection. I hope we win it all this year, but regardless we need a new voice behind that bench. It should not be this painful to watch this much talent so often.

  • Guest

Toews better stop whining to the officials..He has been doing it all year. The Hawks will end up being “Lyisaked” in the playoffs this year and years to come. The team is getting the reputation for being whiny little bitches. If they spent more time trying to play through adversity rather than whining, they would be better off. I never thought I would say this with this core, but they are trying to take the easy way out. This team needs a shake-up, and not only the management. Way too many players making over $5 million a year this year not earning it. Too bad in the salary purge, the returns will be minimal. Will be lucky to get what the Bears got for Brandon Marshall, a second round pick.

    • tom woj

      You are a hockey idiot.
